Remove Copper and Heavy Metals from
Industrial Wastewater

Industrial wastewater treatment for heavy metals removal can be a complicated process where coagulants, flocculants, pH adjustments, settling tanks, and sludge handling are all used in an effort to meet discharge compliance, maintain process water purity, or recover valuable metals.

ElectraMet™ offers a far simpler solution than these typical chemical processes in the selective removal of Cu (copper). Dissolved metals, like Cu, either precipitate out of solution as oxides/hydroxides and are filtered out or get plated out as a metal, keeping the water treatment process contained inside of the ElectraMet cartridge.

The ElectraMet process eliminates the need for sludge handling and the long dwell times typically needed with settling tanks. This leads to a simpler process with a smaller footprint that can help increase wastewater treatment throughput and aid in overall increases in production efficiency.
