CEO Cameron Lippert to Speak at the Event

Lexington, KY, April 24, 2019 – PowerTech Water, a developer of disruptive cleantech water treatment technologies, will participate in the Battery Council International 2019 Convention & Power Mart Expo, Booth #51, where it will showcase its revolutionary CapCo™ Capacitive Coagulation™ technology designed expressly to remove heavy metals from water. The event takes place April 28-30 at the New Orleans Marriott in New Orleans, Louisiana. Its Power Mart Expo offers the lead battery industry’s most complete display of new technology, products and services.

In addition to PowerTech Water’s exhibiting, Cameron Lippert, Ph.D., the company’s CEO and co-founder, will present a talk entitled “Re-engineering Waste Water Treatment for Metals Removal through Capacitive Coagulation: A Sludge-free Approach” at 2:45 pm on April 30 in the BCI Theater.

CapCo is an electrochemical filter that removes metals from water with a patent-pending carbon electrode technology that actively attracts, immobilizes and filters metals with 99% selectivity for these substances. CapCo has been proved to reduce OpEx by as much as 90%, as the technology has low energy requirements, creates no sludge byproduct and eliminates the need for chemicals. In addition, its small footprint can be quickly and easily scaled up to meet higher capacity requirements.

“PowerTech Water’s vision is to apply advanced carbon electrode technologies to deliver clean water in a sustainable manner at a lower cost. Our revolutionary CapCo technology solves one of the most challenging problems for industry – how to remove heavy metals from industrial effluent effectively, cost-efficiently and with sustainability in mind. We are pleased to participate in this event, and highlight our breakthrough solution to this problem,” said Dr. Lippert who co-founded the company in 2014.

PowerTech Water’s developments in advanced carbon electrode technology have won numerous accolades including the CleanTech Open Water Award, 2018 BlueTech China Award for Most Innovative Technology, and grand prize winner at Inaugural Pipeline H2O program. The company was recently named to the prestigious Imagine H2O Accelerator Program for 2019. For more information about PowerTech Water and its CapCo technology, visit https://powertechwater.com.
