We are a venture funded start-up based in Lexington, Kentucky. We are growing and looking to add a talented Supply Chain Manager to our team. This role will be responsible for working with our Product team to identify and build relationships with our suppliers to source the best component solutions for our products with the lowest competitive price. The duties for this role will encompass materials planning, production plan execution with contract manufacturers, and managing inventory levels. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to demonstrate creative problem solving.
Responsibilities of the Role to include:
Create and implement procurement strategies that ensure our ability to meet customer demand while creatively managing the investment in inventory
Direct influence on the development of processes that will enable to Company to build an efficient operation
Identify, build, and maintain long-term relationships with key suppliers and contract manufacturers
Negotiate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to insure competitive pricing and favorable terms (delivery and payment)
Identify supply chain issues early to monitor and drive to resolution to minimize business impact to customers
Build and maintain reports and summaries on regular basis (weekly/monthly) to support business growth
Minimum 5 years experience in a Supply Chain or Procurement role demonstrating increasing responsibilities
Self-starter with ability to independently identify and resolve issues
Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to effectively communicate across the organization
Ability to effectively prioritize and deliver high quality results
