Ensuring Success: The Crucial First Step – ElectraMet’s Feasibility Testing

When it comes to sustainable solutions for your water stream challenges, ElectraMet understands that one size doesn’t fit all. We believe in evidence-based progression, and it all begins with Feasibility Testing – a pivotal step in ensuring that our solution is well-suited for your process.

Sampling Process – Easy and Collaborative

Our feasibility testing process is designed to be straightforward and collaborative. Here’s what you can expect:

Sample Container:

Once the shipping location and involved personnel are confirmed with you, we send out a drum for you to send us 3 – 5 gallons (11-19 liters) of your sample effluent. It’s a hassle-free process, and we handle the shipping.

Sample Intake:

Once we receive your sample, we begin with a visual inspection. We’ll look for visible solids, opacity, and oil content. Next, our experts will conduct a thorough Hach analysis for cations (metals). If needed, we’ll evaluate whether any pretreatment requirements are necessary, such as pH adjustment, oil removal, or TSS removal. To determine the fraction of the suspended solids, we’ll perform a filtration test followed by another Hach analysis.

Creation of Test Protocol:

Our team will create an internal document outlining the testing protocol, ensuring that all aspects of the test are organized and documented for a seamless process.

Lab Scale Testing – Precision and Excellence

With your sample in hand, we move on to lab-scale testing of ElectraMet technology. Here’s what we do:

Selection of Electrode Model:

We carefully select the appropriate laboratory analog electrode model (M-Series, S-Series, R-Series) for your specific requirements.

Varied Voltage Testing:

Our experts conduct process tests at a range of voltages, ensuring that our technology is dialed in to the best conditions for metal removal or recovery.

Permeate Sample Collection:

Throughout the process, we collect effluent samples to assess the efficiency of our technology. In some cases, this may include an ICP Mass Spectrometry Analysis for a deeper understanding.

Responsible Disposal:

Once the testing is complete, we ensure the responsible disposal of the remaining sample quantities. You can trust us to handle it legally and ethically.

Authoring of Feasibility Report – Transparency and Insights

At ElectraMet, transparency is key. We provide you with a comprehensive Feasibility Report that includes:

Test Description, Methodology, and Results:

We document the entire testing process, including results, to give you a clear picture of our findings.

Conclusions and Recommendations:

Based on our analysis, we draw conclusions and offer recommendations tailored to your needs.

Development of Pilot Test – Moving Forward

If appropriate, we’ll work with you to develop a Pilot Plan based on the feasibility testing results. This step ensures a smooth transition to the next phase. Pilot testing allows for us to hone our commercial solution to align perfectly with your needs.

Lead Time – Fast and Efficient

We understand the importance of time. Our current lead time for completing laboratory feasibility tests is approximately 3 weeks from the receipt of your samples.

At ElectraMet, we gather a thorough understanding of your water, allowing us to build a solution that works for you. When you partner with us, you’re partnering with a team dedicated to your success.
