Lexington, KY — ElectraMet just announced expansion in its global distributor network to meet the evolving needs of microelectronic customers to attain sustainability and ESG initiatives through reduction of scope 3 emissions and electrical efficiencies over traditional electrowinning. ElectraMet technology achieves scope 3 reductions by reducing or eliminating inbound and outbound hauling of chemistry, resins, concentrated hazardous liquids, and concentrated hazardous sludge.
Star Advance Technology, owned and managed by Vincent Sung, has been selected as the sales and distribution partner to support Taiwan’s world-class microelectronics sector. The distribution agreement has been completed and Star Advance will serve as ElectraMet sales distribution partner for Taiwan effective immediately.
“Vincent’s team has supported the semiconductor and the broader microelectronics industry in Taiwan for several years. Star Advance understands the exacting requirements of the semiconductor industry and has the relationships and capability to aid ElectraMet in helping implement sustainable, reliable, and cost-effective copper removal and recovery technology. This technology directly impacts environmental social governance commitments by reducing scope 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by eliminating inbound/ and outbound hauling of chemistry, resins, concentrated hazardous liquids, and concentrated hazardous sludge. Unlike traditional technologies, the ElectraMet system does not produce harmful byproducts. Further ESG impact is realized through achieving circularity, which is reintroducing pure copper back into economy without mining, and operational efficiencies.
